The basic way to turn crude oil into petroleum is generally: ① First, divide crude oil into different straight-run distillates according to the boiling point requirements of different products, and then remove the non-ideal components in these distillates according to the quality standards of the products; ② Through chemical reaction conversion, the required components are generated, and a series of qualified petroleum products are obtained.
Commonly used processes in petroleum refining are atmospheric and vacuum distillation, catalytic cracking, delayed coking, hydrocracking, solvent deasphalting , hydrofinishing, and catalytic reforming.
