Yves Guillemot, co-founder and CEO of Ubisoft, France’s largest video game developer, reportedly said today that the company remains open to other collaborations after Tencent increased its stake in Ubisoft. Partners are open-minded. Earlier this week, Tencent invested 300 million euros in Ubisoft’s largest shareholder “Guillemot Brothers Limited”, acquiring a 49.9% economic stake and 5% voting rights in Guillemot Brothers Limited. And Guillemot Brothers Limited is a subsidiary of Guillemot. Through this acquisition, Tencent obtained more than 11% of the total equity of Ubisoft, becoming its largest single shareholder.
