Why choose Polygon
Among the many public chains, Starbucks chose to cooperate with Polygon to build its Web3 experience Starbucks Odyssey.

Starbucks said this is in line with its sustainability commitment, as Polygon’s “PoS” blockchain technology uses less energy than PoW blockchains.

Polygon has pledged to be carbon negative by the end of this year and has offset the CO2 debt accrued by its network. And the Ethereum chain is about to transition to the PoS consensus mechanism, which will further reduce the carbon footprint of Polygon PoS by 99.91%.
