Indonesian stocks concluded Friday’s trading session on a downward trajectory, with losses observed in the infrastructure, financials, and agriculture sectors.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index experienced a decline of 0.79%, marking a new six-month low.
Among the top performers on the IDX Composite Index were Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk (JK), which surged by an impressive 1,650.00% or 1,980.00 points to reach 2,100.00 at the close. Similarly, Mandala Multifinance Tbk (JK) saw significant gains, rising by 1,505.13% or 2,935.00 points to close at 3,130.00, while Colorpak Indonesia Tbk (JK) climbed by 440.00% or 880.00 points to 1,080.00 in late trading.
Conversely, Multipolar Tbk (JK) emerged as one of the session’s worst performers, plummeting by 99.49% or 10,446.00 points to trade at 54.00 at the close. Bank Artha Graha Internasional (JK) also experienced a significant decline of 99.36% or 9,688.00 points, ending at 62.00, while Totalindo Eka Persada Tbk PT (JK) dropped by 99.35% or 308.00 points to 2.00.
On the Jakarta Stock Exchange, declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones, with 393 stocks declining, 247 advancing, and 176 remaining unchanged.
It’s worth noting that shares in Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk (J) reached all-time highs during the session, surging by 1,650.00% or 1,980.00 to reach 2,100.00. Conversely, shares in Bank Artha Graha Internasional (JK) hit three-year lows, declining by 99.36% or 9,688.00 to 62.00.
In commodities trading, crude oil for July delivery experienced a slight decrease of 0.23% or 0.17 to $75.38 a barrel. Brent oil for delivery in August also fell by 0.25% or 0.20 to $79.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract declined by 0.87% or 20.70 to trade at $2,370.20 per troy ounce.
In currency markets, the USD/IDR pair decreased by 0.17% to 16,208.95, while the AUD/IDR pair also fell by 0.17% to 10,807.16. The US Dollar Index Futures remained unchanged at 104.06.
