10 pence back
10 pence front
10p, with a crowned hero on the back, which is part of the coat of arms of England and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This pattern first appeared on George IV shillings and 6p.
The current British pound coins in circulation have been issued since 1985, with 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 pence and 1, 2 pounds. The design pattern of pound 1 is frequently updated, with a variety of patterns, and the pound 2 is a commemorative coin in circulation. The obverse of various coins is cast with the head of Queen Elizabeth II, and the right side of the queen is cast with “D·G·REG·F·D”, which is the Latin abbreviation for “the grace of the Holy Queen, the defender of religious beliefs”. On the back is the traditional British coat of arms.
