What is the point gas supply

the development of LNG point for model will increase liquidity in the market, competitive in our country, the terminal consumption and supply will be more sensitive to the price.

Although the current share of point supply model is still very small, but its development potential should not be underestimated.

So what exactly is the point gas supply?

“Point supply” gas includes (LNG) and (LPG), in which LNG is supplied by low-temperature stainless steel cylinder set through the gasifying device, and LPG is supplied by liquefied gas cylinder set through the gasifying device.

Both are transported to the gas plant by truck, and then unloaded low-temperature stainless steel bottles or LPG cylinders, moved to the plant’s self-built gasification station for gasification, point to point independent gas supply to users.

Due to the low cost, coupled with the vigorous promotion of the “coal to gas” policy, enterprises have caused intensive LNG supply projects in many areas for cost consideration.

The “point-to-point” natural gas supply (hereinafter referred to as point supply) mode is to build a gasification station at the preferred address among one or more adjacent end users, and then lay local pipe network to realize small local gas supply and consumption.

In recent years, the import scale of liquefied natural gas (LNG) has expanded, and the rapid development of distributed natural gas terminal utilization is conducive to the expansion of point supply mode.

LNG is energy efficient, easy to transport and store, and can be transported by tank truck to places that are difficult to reach by pipeline, increasing the mobility and flexibility of natural gas use.

Since 2006, China’s LNG import volume has generally shown an increasing trend, especially in 2016, the import volume reached 26.154 million tons, an increase of 32.97% over the previous year.

Meanwhile, distributed natural gas terminals in large and medium-sized cities develop rapidly.

Since 2011, Chinese governments at all levels have actively introduced supportive policies to encourage the development of natural gas, and strongly pushed many key cities to accelerate the process of switching from coal to gas.

Under the action of multiple factors, the installed capacity of distributed natural gas projects in China is growing rapidly.
