Share repurchases by S&P 500 companies will total $922.7 billion in 2022, up from $881.7 billion in 2021.
Repurchases in the fourth quarter of 2022 were $211.2 billion, up 0.2% from the previous quarter and down about 22% from the fourth quarter of 2021.
