How to Distinguish Between Good and Bad Diesel

Diesel distinguishes between good and bad in this way:

1. Direct observation. Directly observe whether the diesel has impurities. Normal diesel should not contain impurities that tend to clog the fuel system.

2. Density measurement. Oil density is an important criterion for testing oil quality. It is relatively easy to measure the density. The density of diesel sold in society is between 0.80 and 0.87. In theory, the higher the density, the more resistant to combustion, but if the density is too high, the combustion may not be enough. According to past experience, the density of high-quality diesel is generally between 0.835-0.842.

3. Look at the color. The color of diesel is closely related to the quality control indicators such as diesel oxidation stability and chromaticity. Usually, the color of good quality diesel is light yellow and bright, and it is not easy to change color after a period of use.

4. Smell the smell. Diesel smells are light to heavy. Under normal circumstances, the smell of diesel oil is not too heavy.
