On July 7, China’s first “digital renminbi + TIPS customs real-time tax deduction” business was launched

On July 7th, recently, relying on the real-time customs tax deduction function of the Treasury Information Processing System (TIPS), Huaxian Optoelectronics Technology (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. successfully used digital RMB to pay import duties of 8880.76 yuan and import value-added tax of 24244.48 yuan. The tax funds are successfully cleared to the treasury on the next working day.

This is the first time that China has adopted a digital renminbi wallet to sign a “tripartite agreement” online to pay import taxes, marking that China’s “digital renminbi + TIPS customs real-time tax deduction” business has first completed in Huizhou, Guangdong.
