Naphtha is not a refined oil , it is processed and called distillate in refineries, a distillate of petroleum . In general, it cannot be directly used as a petroleum product for industrial or civil consumption, but can be used as an intermediate product or raw material for chemical production.
Naphtha also has its dangers
If ingested : In a production environment, it is unlikely to enter the human body by this route. Ingestion of large doses can cause nausea, vomiting, anesthesia, weakness, dizziness, shortness of breath, abdominal distention, loss of consciousness, convulsions, and central nervous system depression.
Eye Contact : Prolonged exposure to this substance can cause eye irritation and inflammation; prolonged repeated exposure can cause conjunctivitis.
Skin Contact : This liquid is uncomfortable to the skin and can cause dermatitis. The substance may aggravate the original skin disease.
Inhalation : This vapor can cause upper respiratory tract discomfort. Symptoms are upper respiratory tract irritation, and hypoxia symptoms such as dyspnea and cyanosis may occur at high concentrations. Long-term exposure to low concentrations (about 90 mg/L) can produce mild central nervous system symptoms.
Environmental hazards: This product is flammable, irritating and harmful to the environment. Air, soil and water all contribute to pollution.
Explosion hazard: its vapor and air will form an explosive mixture, which will cause combustion and explosion in case of open fire and high heat energy. Its vapour is heavier than air and can spread over great distances at a low level.
