The stock market in Israel witnessed a downturn at the conclusion of trading on Sunday, with losses in the Real Estate, Oil & Gas, and Insurance sectors contributing to the overall decline.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 index fell by 0.17%.
Among the top performers on the TA 35 during the session were Camtek Ltd (TASE: CAMT), which recorded a 6.70% increase or 1,540.00 points, closing at 24,510.00. Additionally, Nova (TASE: NVMI) saw a gain of 1.80%, adding 860.00 points to finish at 48,760.00, while Ormat Technologies (TASE: ORA) experienced a 1.18% rise, accumulating 320.00 points to reach 27,420.00 by the end of the trading session.
Conversely, the worst performers included Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE: ENOG), registering a decline of 3.29% or 160.00 points, closing at 4,697.00. Harel (TASE: HARL) saw a decrease of 2.56%, losing 76.00 points to end at 2,888.00, and Shikun & Binui (TASE: SKBN) declined by 2.22%, down 23.00 points to 1,011.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, with 272 stocks declining, 203 advancing, and 64 remaining unchanged.
In commodities trading, crude oil for February delivery experienced a 0.54% decline, reaching $73.49 a barrel. Similarly, Brent oil for March delivery fell by 0.26%, hitting $78.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, the February Gold Futures contract rose by 0.64%, amounting to $2,064.50 a troy ounce.
In the currency market, USD/ILS was down by 0.40%, trading at 3.61, while EUR/ILS fell by 0.35%, reaching 3.97.
The US Dollar Index Futures showed a decline of 0.12%, closing at 101.36.
