Over 25% of St James’s Place funds have been reported as failing to deliver value, according to their latest Assessment of Value report. Of the 45 funds reviewed, 13 did not meet performance expectations over the past five years. Alarmingly, 36 funds were flagged for performance issues, along with several others receiving warnings related to fund charges, service quality, economies of scale, and market comparisons.
None of the funds achieved a completely positive assessment, with multiple amber flags indicating that while some funds broadly delivered value, significant concerns remain. The firm is also moving forward with a £32.9 million share buyback to bolster investor confidence amid these challenges.
