U.S. Stocks Rally, Dow Jones Up 0.91%

U.S. stocks closed higher on Tuesday, buoyed by strong gains in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services, and Financials sectors. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.91%, while the S&P 500 gained 1.10%, and the NASDAQ Composite added 1.35%.

Among the top performers on the Dow, Walmart Inc. (NYSE: WMT) saw a notable 2.58% increase, adding 2.33 points to close at 92.68. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS) also posted a solid gain, up 2.10% or 12.01 points, ending at 582.79. Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) climbed 1.77%, up 3.99 points, to settle at 229.05.

On the downside, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) was the worst performer on the Dow, falling 0.34% or 0.14 points to 39.80. UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) dipped 0.05% or 0.24 points, closing at 506.10, and Nike Inc. (NYSE: NKE) gained only 0.04%, rising 0.03 points to finish at 76.79.

S&P 500 Highlights: Tesla Surges 7.36%

Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) led the S&P 500 with a significant 7.36% surge, reaching 462.28. Super Micro Computer Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI) also performed well, gaining 5.96% to settle at 34.33, while Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO) climbed 3.15%, closing at 239.68.

On the flip side, Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. (NASDAQ: WBA) was the worst performer on the S&P 500, down 1.18% to 9.19. Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE) lost 1.16%, settling at 68.40, and Amentum Holdings LLC (NYSE: AMTM) dropped 0.80%, ending the day at 19.81.

NASDAQ Composite: Baosheng Media Surges 310%

The NASDAQ Composite saw some impressive gains, particularly from Baosheng Media Group Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: BAOS), which surged 310.40%, climbing 5.37 points to 7.10. Hour Loop Inc. (NASDAQ: HOUR) also saw a massive jump, up 203.45% to 4.40, while Graphjet Technology (NASDAQ: GTI) gained 168.72%, closing at 0.61.

However, there were notable losers in the NASDAQ. Sol-Gel Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: SLGL) fell 40.62%, closing at 0.98. Direct Digital Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: DRCT) lost 32.55%, settling at 3.71, and Check Cap Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHEK) dropped 31.11%, ending at 1.55.

Market Breadth and Other Highlights

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the New York Stock Exchange, with 2,121 advancers compared to 650 decliners. Meanwhile, 93 stocks ended unchanged. On the Nasdaq, 2,196 stocks gained, 1,066 declined, and 119 were unchanged.

Baosheng Media Group Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: BAOS) and Hour Loop Inc. (NASDAQ: HOUR) both reached 52-week highs, gaining 310.40% and 203.45%, respectively.

The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), which measures market volatility, fell 14.96%, ending at 14.27, signaling a drop in investor concern.

In commodities, Gold Futures for February delivery rose 0.20% or 5.30 to $2,633.50 per ounce. Crude oil prices also gained, with February delivery up 1.33% to $70.16 per barrel. The March Brent oil contract rose 1.24% to $73.22 per barrel.

The U.S. Dollar Index Futures added 0.18%, closing at 108.00. In currency markets, EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.04, while USD/JPY edged up by 0.02%, reaching 157.19.
